Bears Player Calls Out Packers Fans, Says They Don’t Even Know Ball
If I played for the Bears I'd be frustrated too
Earlier this afternoon Bears defensive tackle Justin Jones was speaking at a press conference. He had some choice words about Green Bay Packers fans. He didn’t hold back.

My first reaction seeing what Jones says was to laugh. At the end of the day it’s a game. There’s no reason to get riled up if a player calls out your fan base. That just shows me that the Packers fans are living in his head rent free.
I feel for Justin Jones. I imagine all of the losses against the Green Bay Packers can start to get to your head. It has to have been difficult to see Aaron Rodgers beat you time and time again all these years. If I were him I’d be frustrated too. If you can’t beat a team I guess the next best thing is to go after their fans.
There’s no doubt that you can find crazy fans from any fan base. There’s always someone willing to yell out some uncalled for thing during the game. But as a player, that’s just something you have to dust off and move on. That’s something you should expect when you enter a hostile environment. From my experience at Lambeau Field most Packers fans are very cordial and welcoming. It’s a great atmosphere. People have a good time.
The Packers Bears rivalry is heating up. The rest of the NFC North is hoping that the past 15 years of the Packers running the North with Aaron Rodgers is coming to an end. With Rodgers now in New York it’s Jordan Love’s turn to take care of business. The few Bears fans I’ve personally come across in the past few months are confident that Justin Fields is better than Jordan Love. I disagree. Fields was one of the worst passers in the league last year, statistically speaking.
I’ll admit, he didn’t have a great supporting cast. Adding a top tier weapon in wide receiver DJ Moore should do wonders for their offense, but Love is a better thrower of the football than Fields.
But the idea of the Bears all of the sudden becoming one of the better teams in the NFL after being the worst team in the NFL last season doesn’t sound very logical to me. They should improve over last year's 3 win season. So there’s really nowhere to go but up for the Bears in 2023.
We’ll get to see Love vs Fields at least two times a year for the next couple seasons. Two young athletic QBs duking it out in the NFC North. The Packers play the Bears in Week 1 which means we’ll get a taste early in the season to what this new future will look like with Aaron Rodgers out the door.
The rivalry is brewing…grab your popcorn.
