Pursue Your Ideal Life Even If It Scares You

So i just decided that I would create this substack because why not.

I don’t exactly know what the plan is. I’m thinking that this will be a place where I document what I am thinking and why. A public journal in a sense. For lots of my life I’ve kept a journal and I’ve come to learn that it allows you to better understand all aspects of your life. It allows you to process thousands of thoughts that flow through your mind everyday.

For those of you who don’t know me. I’m 25 years old. I live in Dallas, Texas. I make a living posting youtube videos on the Green Bay Packers which I’ve been doing for a little over 2 years now.

One thing that I love about life is that there are endless possibilities for the way it can go and we get to decide the path that we take. I’ve always been the kind of person to pursue the things that I want to pursue even if it may not be what people expect.

When I was in highschool I thought that I would end up going straight to college just like everyone else. Near the end of my senior year I came across a gap year. On the gap year you traveled to different places around the world living with local families and taking part in internships that lined up with your passions. I said to myself, “Let’s do that instead”. That was one of the best decisions that I made in my life. I then went to college for one year and then decided that wasn’t the path for me either. So I left and started to pursue different things that excited me.

I think life is too short to be stuck doing something that doesn’t excite you. The question I like to ask is this, “If you could do anything in life and know you couldn’t fail what would you do?” Go after that. Even if you try and fail, at least you will look back at your life with no regrets. I’ve failed at so many different things that I’ve pursued but it’s led me to where I am right now. I wouldn’t trade any of that. Failures teach you so much more than success.
