What is up everybody. Time to answer different questions you guys asked me on youtube. Let’s get into it.

Wondering if you agree with me on this with the limited tape we have of Love. I think he's gonna take care of the ball well like Rodgers but be more aggressive like Favre. He will make the right read and not burp the ball looking for something else. I think he will be efficient and decisive and Matt will call aggressive plays to let him ball out. (zzzzzz3708)

Odds are that Love isn’t going to take care of the ball as well as Rodgers. There’s no one in NFL history who’s been better than Rodgers in that regard. Rodgers has a TD/INT ratio of 4.52. The next closest is Patrick Mahomes at 3.92. Odds are Love throws way more picks than Rodgers. I don’t really think that’s much of a problem.

There are lots of QBs who throw interceptions somewhat often and still have success. All you have to do is look at Josh Allen. His career TD/INT ratio is 2.3. Allen is willing to take risks and push the ball down the field, and while it leads to more interceptions than a guy like Rodgers, he makes up for it with countless explosive plays. You can also look at Peyton Manning who had a career TD/INT ratio of 2.12. Clearly you can throw a lot of interceptions and still have success.

I do see Love being more aggressive than Rodgers and pushing the ball down the field. He has the arm talent to go deep and make acrobatic type throws.  Decision making and consistency is the biggest thing that Love needs to work on right now. As the season gets started we’ll have a better idea of exactly the kind of QB Jordan Love is.

Thoughts on the Packers trading players. D-bak, Aaron Jones, Preston Smith, De’Vondre Campbell and maybe even Rasul. I wouldn’t be surprised if before the season one of them gets moved and almost definitely by the trade deadline if the Packers have a loosing record. (philipjoncas9085)

I don’t think the Packers will trade any of those players. If they were going to trade Bakh they would have already done it by now. Aaron Jones is a crucial piece of this offense and the Packers know that they’ll need him as Jordan Love gets a hang of being the starter in Green Bay. Even though Preston Smith is getting older he’s very much needed, especially with Rashan Gary coming off of an ACL injury. Losing De’Vondre and Rasul would also be a big blow to this defense.

With the amount of youth on offense, having veteran players the Packers can rely on not only on the field, but also in the locker room is important. There needs to be some sense of stability here as Love takes over.

Seems like it's been a rather quiet training camp for Lukas Van Ness so far. Is that merely a function of how many other storylines are playing out right now? How does it seem like he's doing? (toeknee5565)

I would tend to agree that there hasn’t been much noise about Lukas Van Ness coming out of Packers training camp. I believe the biggest reason is because his biggest strength is his physicality and bull rushing ability. The Packers haven’t been practicing in full pads for long. The intensity will be ramped up once the season starts and we’ll start to see what he can really do.

He’s also a raw young talent. The Packers are going to have to develop him over the next few years similar to what they did with Rashan Gary. But because of his size and physicality, odds are he makes an impact in his first season.

Would picking up a veteran presence like Carson wentz be a bad idea or a good one? (Dakotastorms)

I’d say it's a bad idea. I think it’s better for Jordan Love having a less threatening player behind him on the depth chart. Love could have some growing pains and I think it’s better not to have a guy behind him with the experience of Carson Wentz. It could be easier mentally for Love knowing that there’s no one on the roster who could take over if he’s struggling. I’d rather not have to hear, “Let’s start Carson Wentz. Love isn’t cutting it.”

The Packers are going to give Love a full year at minimum to figure it out.

I guess if there was an injury, signing Carson Wentz could be beneficial. But I’d rather them not make a move. Wentz could teach him some things, but I think QB coach Tom Clements and the rest of the offensive coaches will be just fine.

Who will be the backup now with Etling being released? (supermarket101)

Sean Clifford. The second the Packers signed USFL MVP I assumed it was because they weren’t confident in Etling. The Packers used a 5th round pick on Clifford, and I don’t see them moving on from him. I’ve heard from beat reporters that so far McGough has been inconsistent. So there’s been more positive rumblings about Clifford. My guess is he wins the backup job.

Random Question Of The Day

What was your favorite class in college?

Economics. I enjoy business and the way the market works.

I only went to college for one year and decided to leave because I knew that I didn’t want to work a kind of job that college would lead me too. But I still enjoyed my econ class. My plan entering college back in 2017 was to major in business and if I stayed, that’s what I would have done. But I’ve always wanted to work for myself and looking back I’m glad I made that decision.

That’s all for today!
